Engagement Session in Murfreesboro, TN and surrounding areas
There are multiple locations in Murfreesboro where you can do have an engagement session. Some of these locations require payments and consent. Some are free public access.

Oakland Mansion
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The mansion itself is a historical staple in Murfreesboro and makes a wonderful backdrop or addition to your photos. The porch's architecture is beautiful and adds tons of visual interest, but the grounds surrounding the mansion has lots of opportunity as well.
Near Ravenswood Mansion
Brentwood, Tennessee
Ravenswood mansion looks similar to Oakland Mansion and is a popular location for photography and events. There are multiple trails that surround the mansion that are less occupied with people. This trail in particular offers a Mountain View and a wonderful glow at golden hour.
Old Fort Park
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
I particularly love the fence and wildflower that grow alongside it, but this park has multiple spaces that photograph well. Located right beside the golf course and multiple greenway trails, this location has a lot of opportunity.
Greenway Searcy Trail Head
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Early morning sessions are best for this location for two reasons: 1. it's a small location and hard to crop out people who may be around. The earlier the session, less people are likely to be present. 2. The sun is in a good position to photograph with the falls behind you.
Preservation Park
Thompson Station, Tennessee
This location offer epic sunset photography. It's located on top of a hill with minimal distractions in the background and when the sky is clear, photos are amazing as color begins to appear in the sky.
Rock Island State Park
Rock Island, Tennessee
If you want water or waterfalls, there are multiple options here. There are also lots of rocks. Hence the name Rock Island. Warning, you must be okay with doing a little hiking, getting wet, and possibly getting dirty/muddy.
Lost Creek Falls
Sparta, Tennessee
Must be able to navigate a a staircase but no additional hiking is involved to get to this stunning waterfall. It's down in a little cove, so you must be able to photograph a few hours before sunset. Light gets lost very early here.
Open Field
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Murfreesboro is growing quickly, but there are still a few open fields that we can utilize to earthy, whimsical photos. But you must be okay with bugs because we will often be photographing in or close to tall grass.
